Description
This tutorial provides a solid introduction to Topic Maps for anyone who is a newcomer to the subject. It covers what topic maps are and what kinds of problems they can solve. The basic Topic Maps constructs (topics, associations and occurrences) are explained using the simple yet powerful TAO Model. More advanced topics, such as scope and identity, are also covered. The tutorial concludes with an extensive review of real world Topic Maps applications.
